I've found a way to live forever
Inside a stolen skin
I'll find myself a lonely little girl
Then let the seduction begin
"Let me be your friend" he said
And held out his hand to me
"I'll sweep you off your feet
And never let you fall.
Together we'll stand tall…"
And so I took his hand
His words were so sweet
I'll forever and always be
Enchanted by this man.
This mystery man.
Forever and always.
Late this night I will arrive.
This sweet young virgin will be mine.
With her innocence I'll corrupt.
All their lives I will disrupt.
Soon I'll know how it feels to be free.
Then my rage will be unleashed.
Through her I will finally see.
Then all around will feel my caprice.
I come into your room and steal your affection.
Taken like a thief in the night.

The Structure Will Fall
06:24
|
|||
A long time ago in a land far away
You were made to suffer.
You turned the other cheek
Then turned your anger on your brother
Time to feel the oppression
Time to shelve your will
Enforce the rules with aggression
In our shining city on the hill
I'm not the one who held my head up high
While my mind was sinking down low
I know that you're a disease
Your piety's just for show.
Cut out your heart and set it aflame
Destroy the body to save the soul.
Because they're only human
Passion will always win
And so you isolate them
And teach them curiosity kills
You fear the day that your flock will stray.
So you lay down your wall, but the structure will fall.
I'm not the one who held my head up high
While mind was lingering in hell
I don't pretend to be the perfect man
Because deep inside I know it isn't true. Like you.
But you blame the world as the evil unfurls
And you lay down the wall but the structure will fall.

Company of Spirits
06:48
|
|||
A breeze comes in the night, disturbing my rest.
A cold shivering pressure in my breast.
I can't shake this feeling that I'm not alone.
An alien presence deep within my bones.
The dawn breaks but there's no comfort in the light.
The sun feels angry but I feel justified.
A familiar voice is ringing in my ears.
"Let's go to work," he said. "Lets' go spread some fear."
The village is lonely and hostile today.
They know that we're different but we're not afraid.
By myself I am nothing - tiny and meek
Empowered together with spirits I keep.
Look at their faces. Feel the fear.
Hiding and wishing their savior was here.
And now we introduce them to hell -
The fiery vengeance they've brought upon themselves.

Beyond the Wall
05:21
|
|||
There's no walking away
This is not for a rainy day
We've brought you here to stay
Forever
And I know what you're thinking
Don't you heed that call
You belong as one of us
Safe behind the wall
They think freedom's a sin
But there you go again
Stuck inside this pen
Is no way to live
I know what you're thinking
Don't you heed that call
Who are you to question us?
Don't you dream beyond the wall
I know what you're thinking
You would damn us all
Think what you would do to us
If you reach beyond the wall
Don't dare go beyond the wall

Virulent Discontent
05:50
|
|||
Holding up the mirror
To your society
Gaze at the oblivious herds
Grazing but empty
Blind and deaf and mute by choice
But aching to unleash their voice
We will be the spark that lights
The fire in their souls tonight.
Open the window
To the world and let it in
Stay your hesitant hand
This is what you wanted.
This life, once hermetically sealed
Now lies open and revealed.
The threads that held you back be rent
by the growing discontent.
Burning through the shadows
Of your once-sacred heart
The lords will not have mercy
You've torn their world apart.
Cowering in my eyes I see you
Longing to forget.
This violent upheaval
Fills you with regret.
All glory be damned
A new world is rising.
The wind brings open eyes
Your feudal world is dying.
This life, once hermetically sealed
Now lies open and revealed.
The walls of your temple rent
by virulent discontent.

Desperate Times
06:02
|
|||
Naked, lonely I once was
Eager to be saved.
The light of truth became my flesh
And so I go to my grave.
Sailing fast on a sea of tears
Covenant betrayed.
Broken now, I stand alone
To whom shall I pray?
You lied to me!
When you said these shackles would set me free.
What can I do?
In my darkest hour will I turn to you?
Desperate times call for desperate measures.
Look through the smoke and see who's crying now.
Burn that bitch, her siren's song's
Been luring us to damnation all along.
God have mercy on your soul
And God have mercy on us all.
You lied to me!
When you said these shackles would set me free.
What can I do?
In my darkest hour will I turn to you?
Desperate times call for desperate measures.
Look through the smoke and see who's crying now.

Throw It in the Fire
10:17
|
|||
Oh, tired eyes!
We're tired of lies, and tired of watching you win.
You are the strong and we are the weak
And we're damned for ever letting you speak.
We have the solution!
My poor friends, they will never learn.
"Throw it in the fire and watch it burn!"
All through time we'll feel the echoes of the crime
Embedded in our psyche (culture) to this day.
The smell of burning flesh
And the piercing devil's scream
Be still my child
It's all worthwhile to set all of us free.
Her innocence corrupt.
Her behavior gone astray.
She's no longer one of us
For that she has to pay.
We want to be your friend.
If you have faith we'll make
"Let us be your friends", they said.
"If you have faith, we'll make amends."
But if you're different or strange.
They'll throw you in the fire
'cause they can't change.
No!
